Taking things a day at a time

I've got a golden ticket!!

Actually, no, I don't. BUT I did get my purrrrrple Volcom wallet!! :) It's lovely. I'm really happy. Getting it just made my day.

Today I watched Priscilla Queen of the Desert, and seeing Guy Pearce in extravagant costumes and colorful makeup ALSO made my day. :) While I was watching him in Bedtime Stories, it was really hard not to laugh, because the image of him as a drag queen always popped up in my head. Teehee.

I've got early morning shifts this week. Tomorrow I start at 8:30 and Thursday at 7:30. I should really be going to sleep already (even though it's only 9:40) if I wanna wake up in time. Soooo lame. This week, both days, I work with my manager. I've never worked with her before; she's nice so I'm not all that worried. But I am concerned about the kind of impression I make on her, you know? I have to be extra customer service friendly. But at least she's not a bitch like Cheryl, the district manager. We all fucking hate her. I've only been working a month and I hate her already.

I haven't gotten to the library yet. So there's only a few magazine clippings I put on my style board. But at least when I printed out those 61 photos, some of them were of my and my dance friends I could put up on my dance board. I also printed photos from my last semester at Linfield. I gotta put them in a photo album, although some are going on my wall, most definitely.

Hmm...since I'll be waiting at Pearlridge for 5 hours until I go home tomorrow (and Thursday) I think I'll spend it drinking a vanilla bean frappuccino and writing in my notebook at the Starbucks in Borders. Then I'll have lunch with TC. And return to Starbucks after that. Sounds like a plan.

also, the district manager is always a douche. at all the jobs i've worked at that had a district manager...none of them were nice.

I also agree with Bryan... When I worked at Lowes the District Manager was a total douchebag... he is still the district manager for our Lowes and I guess he does these walkthroughs every other friday or tuesday or something random... and he always yells at the employees. Right out in the open. Everyone hates him. Actually, when I was still there everyone hated the former Store Manager. He was a huge jerk. And he made is own schedule. He never had to work nights or weekends (unlike the rest of us). Same with the old HR director. Uber bitch! Must be something in the water the district people drink.

And YAY! with the wallet! Enjoy!

I think the ability to make people dislike you is on the list of required skills for district managers...they all suck, pretty much.

Vanilla bean fraps are what I get at S-Bucks, too!! Look at us, all kindred spirits and junk, haha.

Congrats on getting your wallet! That's awesome.

In reply to your comment to me: Tanner is 10 now--and he thinks it gives him all kinds of new privilages...but it doesn't. I mean, woo, he can get a paper route now, go him :l

I did the random fact thing on Facebook, too. But I figured this one would be fun b/c you don't have to sit and come up with all of it on the spot...it's an on going thing.

I'll definitely try to get those videos up on YouTube/Facebook sometime soon--they're pretty funny.

'White people, do the humpty hump' haha, that line always makes me laugh.

Oh, and, I love the Willy Wonka reference--it made me super excited, haha.

It's the little things.
