Taking things a day at a time

Guess I am a phone bitch,

but I'm fine with that.

Got the Samsung Comeback yesterdayyyy!!! :) And I'm very happy about it. I figured, might as well get it now while there was the sale and the deal was good. Plus, the guy helping us at Radio Shack was cool and actually helped us choose a cheaper plan than what I was thinking of getting. All in all, I'm not regretting getting this new phone and switching BACK to Team Mobile.

I'm still getting used to the keypad though. That's a little weird sometimes. They keys are also kinda tiny, narrow, actually. But I'm sure I'll adjust.

So I ran into my friend Jonah yesterday right after we got our new phones, and he was shopping for clothes for Winter Ball. Apparently Kamehameha is bringing back Winter Ball. I never had one, years before me never had one. I think the last time KS had Winter Ball and Homecoming stuff like that, was probably sometimes in the '70s. Or maybe early 80s. But still it was a loooong time ago. I'm curious as to why they're all of a sudden bringing them back.

Sing Me A Song Sunday
"Don't Stop Believin'" by Ahmir
My friend Tiana yet again showed me the light with this song. She wants to choreograph this as the finale number for the dance concert at our high school. I think it's a perfect song for finale. Anyways, besides that, it's one of those songs that sample older songs, again. It just can't be helped; what's good is good so everyone wants to use it. The chorus goes, "Don't stop believing, this is a journey not a destination." And I think that's seriously one of the coolest tie-in lyrics to the original song.

Sorry the vid is just the song, and not an actual video to go along with it.

OH. Not sure if I ever mentioned this (I know I told Jamika about it, though) but a few weeks ago there was this thing called Girl Fest, which was 2 weekends long, I think. And there were performances, speakers, workshops, stuff like that. And Amber Tamblyn (Joan of Arcadia, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants) was one of the performers. She came last year, which I didn't know about. And she returned this year, to give a poetry performance. My friend Keely was planning on going, even to get me a signed book, but she had to change her plans last minute so she wasn't able to go. :( I was bummed that she could go, and that was the weekend I was up at Linfield.

Just now, literally just this minute, I decided that I'll have one post in the future where I post pictures of the things I had to do for my art class. Like my mask, and my sculpture; even though someone broke my hot air balloon. >_< >BRYAN!!!: Do you have an address that I can write you at?? Did you send out a mass message about that and I either forgot or didn't get it?

PostSecret:

Jesus, Twilight. -_-

It's so creepy to think that adult women, mothers, GRANDMOTHERS!, are so in love with Edward and Jacob. Doesn't it occur to them that they are obsessing over either fictional characters? One is an under-aged killing machine, and the other is a fucking 800 year old vampire! He's dead!! Which means Bella is most definitely a necrophiliac. Seriously. Or if they're obsessing over the actors, Taylor is 17. Barely jailbait! And Robert literally looks like a crack addict. Come ON!

But I digress...

"You and I Both" by Jason Mraz is my ringtone for my new phone. I absolutely lovelovelove this song!! And it's funny, I've only ever downloaded 2 Jesse songs as my ringtones, everrr. I think it's because some songs just don't sound good as ringtones, you know? If that makes sense. Also, it depends on what part of the song that they play.

Also, "You and I Both" was the first Sing Me A Song Sunday that I posted. :] Random little bit of trivia for your liking, of course.

Anyways, yes. "You and I Both." <3

Glad you got your phone!

That song is awesome. I listened to it twice in a row, :)

I'm glad you're going to post pictures of your artwork, it'll be fun to see.

I believe Bryan posted his address on FB as one of his status updates. You'll probably find it on his profile somewhere.

I thought the same thing when I saw that PostSecret thing. I really don't care for Twilight and the hype around it is huge. I can understand something being a major success (Harry Potter and LOTR were both pretty big), but people get way out of control with this.

I can see why Kristen Stewart acts the way she does sometimes, she's always so awkward and nervous looking...I would be too if every Edward lover out there would jump me if I said anything they didn't like. I'm sure none of them were ready for the crazy fans they got. I read one story where a couple of girls cut their necks and chased Pattinson down shouting for them to drink their blood. Gross and just plain ridiculous.

I personally don't find Pattinson attractive. I can see why people find Taylor Lautner attractive. But, you're right, he is young.

But yeah, I've never been much into vampires, so...

I love Jason Mraz. I know what you mean about some songs not sounding good as ringtones. Have you ever been to www.myxer.com? You can upload songs from your computer and edit them into a ringtone, or edit other songs already on the site--and it's free to do. You'll only be charged if you don't have a data plan to download them, you know? But even then it's cheap. It's pretty cool, you should check it out.

Anyhoo, this was a rather lengthy comment :)

It's true, we should celebrate family togetherness more, but sometimes is not possible or just not the family dynamic. My family is always throwing a party. Any excuse to have some kind of gathering...seriously, haha. But yeah, I think Thanksgiving gets overlooked way too much.

I'm glad you want to try Wave. What's your google email address? I'm sure you've given it to me, but I never seem to retain email addresses :|

Yeah, that jerk dance is pretty cool. I kind of want to learn it.

Now that I think about it, I remember you showing me a bunch of different ringtones, haha. Hopefully you can get that to work for you, it's handy.

I haven't sent in anything to PostSecret, I've always meant to, but I haven't done it yet. I'll probably do it soon though.
